Marki Lemons Ryhal
She started her first business, a snowball stand, at the age of 10, was a pioneer in the Chicago food truck business, and has personally prepared food for Aretha Franklin. With natural business sense, Marki opened her first real estate business in 2003 and by the next year was in the top 10 percent of REALTORS® in Chicago. In 2006, she became a licensed real estate instructor and by 2010 she was the youngest woman to be named Illinois Real Estate Educator of the Year. While on maternity leave, she decided to Google her name. It came up less than 10 times. She was horrified because at that moment, she was holding a report from the National Association of REALTORS® that stated more and more buyers were going to the internet first and 67% would do business with the first agent they came in contact with. She instantly became committed to using social media as a way to connect and engage with customers and past clients. In the past 13 years, she has written over one hundred continuing education classes and has trained more than 300,000 real estate professionals.
